Fangirl Moments and My Two Cents

I'm trying to complete a reading challenge this year, and one of the requirements was to read the oldest unread book in your kindle collection. I picked this up when it was on sale but never read it because I kept hearing negative feedback on it. Anyways, it just kept sitting there, earning it the spot of being my longest owned unread book.

I'm so very glad that I finally took the time! I loved it. The Host was very different from what I was expecting. It has so much big idea, deep thinking. I believe I got a lot more out of it than I would have reading it as a teen or even as an adult when the novel first came out. The storyline was very thought provoking and will stick with me. I expected a young consuming romance wrapped in danger, but I found a pure love of life in general.
