Poison Princess
4.5 stars
Wow, I was really into this story when it ended. I almost dnf it at the beginning. All of the part about school and stuff was boring to me, and I got so tired of the word cajun being used in every sentence. When things really got started though, it hooked me completely. It's dystopian with mystery, action, magic, mythology and everything to make a great story. It centers around tarot cards. I don't remember ever seeing them used this way. Poison Princess has the whole YA fantasy romance vibe going on, but at the same time, there are zombie-like creatures and things that happen when society falls and survival of the fittest kicks in. I didn't see that ending coming, which is awesome to me. I'll be continuing the series for sure.
