Most of my friends loved this story so this is probably a case of it's me not the book, idk. Also I listened to the audio version. I don't know if that affected my experience or not. For me, this was basically porn. I didn't feel an emotional connection with the story at all. Danny never endeared himself to me. He was super dramatic and full of himself, and neither character seemed very deep.
