A Man Called Ove
This book snuck up on me. While reading, I continuously found myself touched by events. I would just be reading along not expecting it and have to chuckle out loud or my eyes would feel with tears. Ove is a total grouch to everyone. He goes along and does what needs to be done in all situations. If something is broken, he fixes it. He's Mr. Rule Follower to the extreme. He works for everything, taking nothing for free. He helps so many just because he sees a problem and does whatever the solution is. So no matter how grumpy he is, he attracts people (and animals) like magnets to iron. This is a heart-expanding story. I loved it.
